Bass are still biting good here-they're mostly in the deeper water out away from the bank except early and late. I been fishing a 5" senko on a Mister Twister keeper weighted hook (1/8 oz, 2/0 hook). Its a little sporadic-you go an hour or two with no hits then get a bunch all in 15 minutes. These fish are fat-they're eating good and are real healthy. I was fishing not too far from a guy who only caught one but it was around 5 lbs. Andhe let it go-always happy to see that.

What pond were you fishing on... You have to release all bass you catch on Ft.Carson its the rules. They are cantaminated so you are not allowed to keep them.

Haynes. I explained about the mercury contamination to him-still you could see that he really wanted to take it home and show it off. But he weighed it then let it go. Maybe a catch and release fisherman was born!!!
