Does this look like fun OR WHAT?!?!

I want that guy's rod... And not in the llama way.

My ultralight is nowhere near that sensitive. Any suggestions for buying one with that kind of action? I want to Babe Winkler it up on a 5" gill and fight it like a tarpon. ;)

No. I was fishing a bass bed while reloading my high capacity magazine, contemplating ways to degrade and demean homosexuals, writing an FXR post with GPS cords of the bass beds I was raping, and eating a dolphin sandwich.

Yea man... My dad taught me that cast back in 90 or 91 on Clear Creek... To get under some limbs. He called it the Bow and Arrow cast though. I really liked this video. ;)

FAIL!!! Where da fishing report from eastern US ???
Yo... I'm moving first of June. It's official.

I should have you some badass warm water species porn by the end of the June... Once I have a chance to move in and settle. I'm taking requests now... Catfish? Crappie? Bass?

;)

BTW, does nobody have a suggestion on a slow action UL like the one in this vid? If I knew exactly what he was using, I'd buy that. I sent the guy a message... maybe he can let me know what it is.

Interesting stuff there, KK.

Don't know if I have the time or ability to build a rod, but maybe someday...

The guy in the video wrote me back... Says he doesn't remember what kind of rod that is........ Fishy?

Thanks guys! That Eagle Claw rod looks promising. St Croix too, but the Eagle Claw will probably be a little less expensive, no?

From doing some research, I have learned that the rod taper is what determines fast/slow action. The less extreme the taper, the slower the action. The more extreme the taper, the faster the action.

For the rod to bend from the handle on up to the tip, glass rods with a minimal taper are most desirable. In other words, slow action. For the rod to bend primarily near the tip and remain stiff near the handle, carbon fiber rods with a healthy taper are desired.
