I talked to someone at work who fished Georgetown on the Friday after
Thanksgiving. He and 2 friends caught quite a few rainbows up to l4".
He said that the ice was 3-5 inches thick. They were fishing by the
bridge.
Just some information in case anyone was thinking about going there.

Good Luck!

I may have to do that after school tomorrow

one word of advice to anyone fishing georgetown:

THERE IS A CURRENT THAT FLOWS UNDER THE BRIDGE!

i knew this, but being february with plenty of icers out, i was walking across the lake and stepped all the way through some flaky ice near the birdge, i was lucky to fall backwards opnto thick ice, but that ice is not stable right around the bridge

Thanks for the warning Mustang. I am thinking of hitting G-Town Friday am after I get off work. I need some fast action to help shake off the doldrums from this past fall.

Mustang is dead right about that area near the bridge. That area often has open water, and even when frozen it is never safe.
