Fished the inlet at GM today. Started with gold PM. The bite was slow to start. Picked up 2 fish in the first hour. With the water being stained switched to a more muted color. Then it started picking up. Ended up picking up 15 in the 12 to 15 inch range. It was a real subtle bite. They wouldn't really hit it. You could just feel the blades stop turning on the retrieve and then set the hook. It was a beautiful day in the high country. The bite should just get better in the coming weeks.

Ice is still well over a foot thick.3 to 4 inches of slush on top with no crust or layers, worse in some patches. access points were real muddy. There was only one other dude on the lake yesterday.Just got 10"of fresh wet snow last night. it was in the 20's all day today. slush should be real bad this weekend under the crust.Really slow bite. only manged three. got a couple like this. It is very white with very white fins because it does not eat mysis because there are none and doesn't have that many salmon available, It eats alot suckers, a few rainbows, and few other macs.
