Try the inlet into Rifle Gap. I did really well there last spring on little Panther Martins and Mepps. There should be a lot of pike in the shallows, too, which can be real interesting with light tackle :D
If you can head east a ways, the Colorado usually fishes really well around Glenwood.

It's a bit early for pike, as my report shows. Also, the colorado river is solid mud. Good lures for pike in a couple weeks should be 5" zoom superflukes rigged texas style weightless on a 3/0 gamakatsu EWG hook. Deadbaits like anchovies on a quick strike rig work also. don't forget the flyrod and streamers either, this is a great time of year to catch pike on flies. a husky jerk is probably the best crankbait. Don't forget the buzzbaits or the spinnerbaits though, just in case. Never use wire leader for pike in colorado. Hope this helps.

harvey is one of my favorite places. igo up there a few times each summer with my friend from new castle and each day weve caught perch, bluegills, crappie, pike, trout and largemouths using white jigs or white with a little red.
