Ive already posted that we might go to Deweese or the Catamounts or Crystal Resevoir. Its my birthday and i just dont want to get skunked. I do not know how to fly fish so that limits it quite a bit! Any opinions would be appreciated!

Where do you live?

Do you like warmwater or cold water fish?

How far do you want to drive?

Do you prefer lake or stream?

I live in falcon which is about 10 miles away from colo springs. We prefer lake and wed be willing to drive anywhere up to 2 1/2 hours away and we prefer fishing for trout.

Read my report on Forbay, you can't get skunked. Don't blame me if you do, though! ;D Go to Twin Lakes, take a right at the sign for the Lakeview campgrouns, and keep following the road to the top o the hill. There are rainbows and macks, but I have never gotten a laker from there.

Happy Birthday Craig N!
No matter what, I hope you have a great time out and about on your b-day. Mustang has a great recommendation for a cool spot that is easy to get to and not too far away. As for lakes go and catching fish this time of year you will not go wrong there. Let us know how you do and have a great time doing it.
