Went to Golden Gate on Sunday morning. Penty of ice (6-7") and plenty of stockers. It was just a shake down cruise to test out the equipment but anyone looking to get their kids hooked on ice fishing should go. We caught about 35 8-10"'ers in about two hours.

I talked to the rangers at Golden Gate. They tell me there are not a lot of people fishing the ponds yet but fish are being caught on both Kriley and Slough. (Both are on hiway 46, Kriley is the larger one, slough is very small)

They also told me the the ranch ponds have not been stocked for some time so there are very few fish left in them. They also recommended Dudes Fishing hole if you don't mind lugging your equipment a few hundred yards down hill then back up hill when done.

I will probably hit Kriley and Slough Friday am when I get off work at 7a.
