I recently got a kayak and love it! Took Hobie's advice and bought a sonar unit - Striker 4 and have been learning the whole new game of pillaging from above. This setup has allowed me to get into some tasty species which otherwise would be hard to find. I have been targeting crappie, perch, and walleye. Doing good on the first two, not so hot on the last. Have also been picking up bass and a whole bunch of trout - a couple of real hoss trout but can't find the eyes. My problem on the eye's is that these lakes don't have much structure so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for in finding the eye's. Any advice would be great!

Enjoy...

Had to use a cinder block as an anchor, lol

Perch jigs w crawler, gitzits
crappie gitzits
trout jigging raps, tubes
bass gitzits

Fish schooled up and moving - stick and go, seems the larger crappie are suspended if you can find them.
