Hey all,
Planning on making my first trip down to Pueblo res this weekend. Wondering if you might have some suggestions for walleye or trout spots?

I was thinking of maybe trying the peninsula-type deal to the west of the South Marina, though it looks like it may have a good amount of cliffs. Or maybe near the northern planes campground.

Thanks!

well if you want bows don't fish the lake, fish the river below the dam , no bait allowed. or the ponds for eyes and bass. the point west of so. marina is a very long hike and almost no way down to the lake. the eyes are very hard to catch from shore in this lake

Thanks guys. Ended up going further west, sort of near Turkey Creek. Caught a few Black Crappie, a few bass, and a real nice Wiper!

Can anyone tell a beginner what stage of spawning the walleye are in this time of year? I'm hopefully going to be able and try from a boat soon. Plan to go with slip bobber, soft plastics, and crankbaits.
