Fished Granby with my son today. We were fishing in front of the pumphouse (at the mouth of cutthroat bay) in 45 - 53 fow. Marked a lot of fish on the vex but getting them to bit was tricky. We managed to ice 10 or 11 macs in five hours (9am - 2pm). Had most success with spawn sacs on small jigs as well as a few on metal spoons and tube jigs twsm. Average fish was 18", biggest was maybe 21". I was using 10# flourocarbon for my leader but next time I will try 6 or 8# and see if it makes a difference.

Right as we were packing up for the day two USFS employees came by on sleds and posted several signs out on the ice, infront of the pumphouse, stating that the area was now closed to fishing. ??? Maybe they are worried about thin ice. It effectively puts the first 100 yards from shore off limits.
