Anyone fishin the Granby 3 lakes contest next wkend?????
My son and I are fishing it (we both got some goodies last year) and starting off Sunset Pt, don't know where we'll end up for sure but I'll have a sign out with Red Letters (Shark) on it, stop by for a quick chat and it'll get ya a cup of hot coffee.  We'll be on 1 blue and either 1 or 2 yellow snow machines with a sled behind.

Shark I will be there. Do you just fish for macs or do you try for rainbows and browns too?

Mostly Macs for the Contest. I got a new Vex Fl-18 and will have it out for the first time next wk. Never used a flasher before so gotta try and figure it out a few days before the contest. I was in 2nd place on Fri last year, but by the time Sun noon rolled around I got bumped down to 14th place.
It was a lotta fun tho.

Shark you will love your fl18 I used mine at sunset point today and half the fish I caught was because I saw them on mine . I am going to try for the grand slam for the tournrey I will probably go and get my mac at sunset.

We will be there Fri. and Sat. Have made this trip for years,always stay in Grand Lake and enjoy the restaurants and bars after a good days fishing.Great escape from the real world.

My dad, grandpa, me, and friend (catfishhunter) will be there. I dont know what we will be doing. We ahve access to several snowmobiles and a four wheeler, so we could be anywhere this year. We will have our fifth wheel in the parking lot. We have a white chevy truck with a green stripe. if you see us stop by and say hi.

Myself my son and my two brothers (bigbrown & tracker17) will be there, I have a old brown arctic cat snowmoblie say hey if you see me, maybe have a cold one in between fish.

I will also be there with my son and 2 friends. We did good in it last year. I got 1st place in the Grand Slam, my friend got 3rd place in the Grand Slam and my son got 4th in his age group.
I hope we do as good this year.

The wife and I'll be there, we also stay in Grand lake. The bowling allley has pretty good pizza. anyone Fished granby lately? How thick is the ice? A few years ago the wife and I were kicking it along on the arcticat and were introduced to slush WOW! Talk about a surprise in your pants . Red and silver Ford w/ lime green 500.

we use to stay at Columbine cabins and we loved it, This year we called to stay for our 4th visit and were profiled by Barbra (THE MANAGER) no room at the Inn. I suggest if your doing the three lakes derby, don't bother with columbine cabins. smells like fish

my brother and his friends are going to be there he has a new snow mobile and would like some insight on the ice conditions and amount of snow on granby thanks

i was in winter park last weekend and they got a few inches of fresh snow. the temps were also cold. the weekend before granby had about a foot of ice, about an inch of slush, then about 3 inches of snow. perfect snowmobiling turf, woudl suck for a 4wheeler

thanks for the info I would like to see more snow myself but then again i am not going, but i will sure pass this on. Iheard that it was supposed to snow tonight and maybe even on saturday.
