I had a chance to spend the day fishing at Granby yesterday with my daughter, Carlyann. Try as we might, we couldn't catch any lake trout. The rainbow bite remains excellent. We landed thirteen, and lost half as many. We picked up most of them trolling through Columbine bay. Bank fisherman on the shoreline between Rocky Point and Pine Point were doing exceptionaly well as we consistently saw fish being pulled in, and saw loaded stringers as they added another to their count. The fish were not choosy and they hit just about anything we had behind the boat.
My daughter was pretty proud, as it was the first time she rigged, baited or lured her rods without Dad's help or recommendations. Here's a photo shot:
