Just stopped by for an hour after work to walk the dog and enjoy the weather.  Brought only the fly rod.  Fished a little brown crappie jig fly (picked up a pack at bass pro to try, just a really light feather crappie jig) with a midge dropper.

Second time at these lakes and was just walking the shore casting ahead looking for structure.  Was actualy curious if I could find some crappie.  Water was very clear, but didn't spot any structure that looked like it would hold crappie.  Caught one nice about 14" large mouth on the jig.  First bass of the year, and a lot of fun on the fly rod.  I didnt spot any fish, and the one I caught came from out of my view after the fly....so it must have liked its look.  Will have to pay around more with those jigs.

Someone is going to go and get that bass now. That is probably the only fish left in there.
