first time up at grey reef. Fished saturday from shore. Me and my son got 4 ea mostly on Barr emergers but did get a couple on RS-2 toward evening. Went on a float rip with Grey Reef Anglers Sunday and hammered them all day.Again mostly on the Barr emerger but after about 1:30 we were getting most fish on a Larva worm. Biggest fish of the day was 23" 5# RB. Most were 16-19 range. I thought our guide was very knowlegeable and really put us on the fish. this guy used a float system for nymphing i never have seen before. He used a small balloon(!) as the float and it worked great.easy to cast and was pretty sensative to the strike. By the way the flows up there were recently raised to 1800 CFS so shore fishing is a lot harder since place you could get to before (i am told) are unreachable now. prevoiusly they were only letting 800 cfs run down it.

Sounds like you had a great trip. the "balloon idicator" sounded like an interesting technique...

so the the water was up...but clear i take it? hopefully it will blow all of last years weed growth out and make it nice and clean for this year. i floated it once when it was so high all we could really do was throw streamers...turned out to be more of a boat ride that anything else...but i got plenty of practice rowing
