went fishing at harriman on friday used the p martin around 530 hooke on to something and this is what i reeled up can some one tell me what species of trout this is....




so you know i got him out of harriman the lake is beautifull

This is a brown trout. I have caught many of these in the himalayan waters in Paksitan. I was always curious why brown trout were called brown since the one's that i caught were all silver. After coming to America I caught browns and now i Know why they are called brown trout.

That fish looks like a speckled trout that you catch in the ocean.I have caught some browns out of Spinney that were almost silver,but had the brown trout spots.Thats a healthy trout,nice job,i bet Zmans jealous.

psshh im totally jealous of zman he caught the pike i wanted...

harriman does not allow belly boats or anything in that nature no wading either.... 

it is located off of kipling and quincy. and thank you for the comments this is my FIRST brown trout and fyi it was released right after this photo for future fishermen.... i love this lake...
