Has anyone used Bassmaster Professional Series Rods? They seem like a good rod for 50 bucks but I hate to buy something unkown to me.

I have a MH action I use for trolling and it seems to do very well. I also have the reel that came with it and again works fine

I got a combo as a gift a couple years ago, and I found the reel to be of questionable quality..after a season of (hard) use, the drag became prblemactic, adn began to self-tighten as I fought fish..this is a critical issue!

Maybe not for crappie, but I don't feesh for the leetle ones, senor!

I would not buy the reels. I have found out the hard way to buy name brand reels unless it is so cheap you dont mind throwing it away. I was just curious about the rod itself.
