In September I'm going to the Hayden/Steamboat Springs area for a fly fishing trip. I'm to poor to be able to hire a guide. But will need supplies and knowledge. I'm looking for fly shop recommendations. Can any one help me with this?

Thank you for any and all help and info!

Bucking Rainbow is the Orvis shop. You will likely find good information there.

If you want a good laugh, go in and take a look at some of their clothes. Wife and I were up there a few weeks back. I tried on a leather jacket that looked really nice only to find it was $2000. And, not surprisingly, they had racks of them. At least the sales lady offered to make me a "screaming deal".

Steamboat fly fisher is the place to go. I've been to fly shops all over the state ( and outside) and I think it is one of the tops!
