I was unsure on where to post and introduction on the forum. So I picked here and if I was wrong....oops. I live in Loveland, fish for everything and recently decided to get into fly fishing. Figured I needed some help and this forum seems to be packed with a ton of info and good people. I look forward to good conversation, making new friends, and most of all...goin' fishin'!

Thanks for the welcome and your support zman. First forum I have been on where you post an intro and it has 40+ views and only one person acknowledges it..... that's starting to make me re-think my decision to join. Then again, I'm an FNG here...what do I know.

Welcome, if you want info on areas use the search function, but don't bring up a thread from 10 years ago and not expect a lot of heat from the locals. Don't be posting about small bass waters or any small lakes/ponds, lots of lurkers on the interweb that will show up at a place that is posted and show up with 5 gallon buckets.

If you look in the fly-fishing section there is a ton of info.

There are also some guys on here that are real good fly fishermen and I'm sure you'll get some good info if you post up questions.

Welcome. The forum is changing, but you will need a bit of a thick skin pretty often.

Welcome aboard. I am still a newbie to the board as well but feel pretty welcome. There are probably quite a few "closet" flyfishers here but thankfully there are some of us who post now and again. Most of the fly guys who post are pretty knowlegable about the Colorado waters and can give some good advice.

There are quite a few vets here as well. I served in the Air Force from 1973 to 2003 as a C-130 pilot (Rescue and trash hauler). Hence my avatar - HC-130P on the ramp at Bermuda.

Thick skin I have Sir. And I can give the sh!t as well as take it. I just hope that other people have thick skin.......I am a nice guy, but I'm also a military no B.S. type of guy. So if someone is being stupid or talking out their a$$...I'm gonna call them on it and not feel bad about doing it.

Furthermore, snobs and egotistical POS's are usually my main target for the abuse. There's no reason to be an A-hole in life all the time. I can't stand the people who are.
