I'm living in denver right now and looking for a good place to try to get at some walleye. I'm not gettin my belly boat in the water yet so I gotta fish the bank. Am I out of my mind thinking i can catch eyes from the shore? I dont even know what kinda rig to go for..

I'm lookin to find a good spot within a hour or so from denver proper.

Not giving anything away but Cherry Creek Reservoir has been known to give an angler a chance for an eye from shore. Just remember the limit is 18" minimum and 3 fish maximum limit and only one fish over 21". Check out U-tube for videos on how to catch walleyes.

Put my 80 year old Mother on a 27" Eye from the C.C. dam. Walked her down the path from the Marina, leach under a slip float in Mid May. Doesn't bother me to tell you, as I fish out of a yak, and the damn is well known for producing evening and night walleye.
