I was planning on going to Union on Saturday but it seems the bite is off at there. Any other ideas for Front Range locations? I am willing to drive an hour any direction from the Denver Metro area. (My wife is coming with me and she wants to go shopping in the afternoon) I want to take the boat, have already bought bait...

Lonetree perhaps. Have the walleyes started to bite at Standley yet? Jackson lake is about two hours from Denver I think but maybe that's too far for you. Or Granby for some lakers?

Yeah, I agree with trying to get onto that bite at Union. You just never know, ya dig.. A good analogy(?) for Union is: the wiper bite at Union is to an angler as spring weather in Colorado is to a golfer(?)

Dan,

Probably not going to be out there til a few days later. I figured that lake is tired of seeing my arse. Anyhow, I'll head up there when the new spark starts. Til then, I'll let ch'all do the experimenting. In the meantime, I'll be stockin up on lures since Gander Mtn just opened up nearby where I live. I plan to randomly pick up the "ooh shineys" as I stop there day to day.

Oh yeah, Dan....
Yes, unpredictable. I hope you hit the jackpot. If you do, I'll have to fight the lack of sleep and head out. Otherwise, like I said.... Blowin off money at Gander for the next few days and just stayin in.

1eyered,

Thanks for giving me giving Union a break for a couple of days. The way you have been pulling them out of there they are probably few and far between! :)

Let me know if they have any new "ooh shiny" stuff. I just love "ooh shiny".

Zman,

If you happen to win the Aurora contest I want half of the prize money or I will let the officials see your post telling your plans. Yep I am blackmailing you!

No.. I kept the entire population to myself. Then I did a 50 thousand fish, fish fry for my family, extended family, my pet and it's extended family... And my neighbor's family, extended family and their dog's extended family. I'm quite sure you should be included in the extended, extended, extended family somewhere either on my side or the neighbors ;)

Dude, I think them fish wont turn on for a while. What I do know though is this. Keep calling em. Here ya go: 303-772-1265

They're pretty good about keeping you up to date with fish activity, water temps and amount of people out there fishin. The're always constantly keepin up with what's going on there. If all else fails, I'd retreat to the smaller ponds and streams to have fun.
