I hadn't done a married wing for a while and I ended up doing one like this.

Hope you all enjoy it. It is a little different. I am adding a little more to them each time I tie them.

Take care.

Thanks guys. No it isn't a traditional salmon fly. I just kinda make them up as I'm going.

Hi TopSlugger4 , these are Alec Jackson hooks size 1.5. They come 10 to a package for about $6.00. Hope this helps. Any other questions let me know.

Mighty pretty fly, JB.

And such a good match, too! I saw a whole hatching of those things on my way home from the bar last week! LOL

Wonder if there's a way to use a fly like that as a Christmas tree decoration...

My oldest son has been able to put a few of my salmon flies into Christmas Tree ornaments. I don't see how he does it. He has a lot of patience. Sometimes the wings can give him trouble if they are large. I haven't had him try a married wing yet because I'm affraid it will come all apart on him.
