Just thought I'd say hello in my first post.

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's favorite fishing hole in this area? Mine with out a doubt is Quincy. I try to hit it 4 times a week. These mild days here lately make me wish the 12th was here already. I've got a feeling the trout are getting hungry!

First of all I'd like to welcome you to the board. And like you, My favorite place in the metro area is also Quincy. I have a boat now so that could change. If you fish Quincy that much im sure we've ran into each other a few times as im there about 3/4 times aweek. I go in the east gate and fish the first point all the way to the inlet area.

Hi and welcome from another newbie. I'm planning on hitting Quincy this year. Is there truly some good Muskie fishing there? What other species am I looking at?

If ish Quincy alot during the summer. I work for ADT so most of my appointments are in the late afternoon and evening, so I try to go over a couple times a week in the morning.

I am spoiled from fishing at Spinney so much, so the trout are of little interest to me. I fish for bass and Tigers. I suck at Muskie fishing but I try hard ;D If you see a Blue Z71 Silverado with Walleye Central stickers on it , parked in the west lot that is me. Come by and say hi.

Bass fishing is excellent at Quincy! THe Smallmouth are really starting to take hold at Aurora also!

I'll be sure to look for you Neal. One other question on Quincy I use a inflatable sea eagle. It gets pretty heavy after set up (floorboards, motor mount, trolling moter, batteries, gear, etc) so I need to set up close to the water where I can 'drag' em in, especially when out by myself. Can I get the car close to the water here?

You can get down right at the water edge. Drive down to the water take are your stuff out and park your car, come back and setup.

Jay, we probably crossed paths a few times last year. I also park in the east gate and walk from the inlet all the way towards what I believe they call muskie cove. A lot of good trout and bass.

Had had some work to do on the weekend on the 12th to do but moved that up to this weekend so I could go fishing there. Now I see your post that they're opening this weekend has me in a bind. I think I have an illness coming on... lol
