We were at Horsetooth today and it is down at least fifteen feet from two weeks ago. Talking to the ANS inspectors I learned that a head gate at the outlet is broken, and needs to be replace. They said the last time it happened 15 years ago, the reservoir lost a buttload of water and fish. We were fishing the east side between the yacht club and Dixon Dam and caught a bunch of smallmouths between about 9 and 11 am! Most this size or a little smaller .

They didn't say. It really has been draining. First to fill the ditches around Weld County and now because of the dam problem.

It'l concentrate the fish and make them easier to catch.
