Did anyone make it to Horsetooth last year? After the dam re-do and refill, I didn't hear of anyone that went out. I'm hoping to go early this spring and see if the Eyes have it...

F&H did a pretty good write up on Horsetooth last year (late-summer-2004). Said the smallie action was the best they've ever had. Other species are doing well. Hoping to get up here around late April or early May in 2005 if Pinewood doesn't pan out.

I recently gave the hotline a call but it didn't cough up anything noteworthy. Here's the website for future planning. Let us know what you come up with.

I went to Horsetooth several times last year. Most of the time I was catching trout on Kastmasters and Krocodiles in the north coves. I heard that walleye fishing was good on the south side, but I was not successful with that...

James, thanks for the heads up on the F&H news. Guess I will go pick one up. I always like Horsetooth and it looks like it might be back for some desent fishing.

Nawanda, yes they did drain it to rebuild the dams. There was even a website that had pictures of the work done while it was drained. I should have socked away the pics for future references on the structure. Live and learn.
