Took Mom and Dad out to the pond today. We were just fishing from the bank. It was 85 degrees out there today with not a cloud in the sky. We were cooking! What the heck is going on with the weather? The only ripples I saw on the water today if from our baits hitting the water. I mean it was like a mirror all day!

Anyway, caught 4 rainbows all 11-13." One of them grabbed a fire tiger castmaster and the rest on PB. Tried a number of different baits, lures and techniques. There just wasn't anything moving out there. Kokes were nowhere to be found, by me anyway. Did see some larger trout cruising by the dam but with my elderly folks along we did not even attempt the rip-rap.

I was very happy about spending the day with my folks and doing all the tying, untangling, cleaning etc. they used to do for me. The fall colors sure are pretty! I'm just ready for it to feel like fall.
