Its like the "dog days of summer" are upon us all ready. Has anyone done any good for catfish at Chatfield? In the past is seems they have been hitting in weather like this in the plum creek area but I have not heard any reports for this year.

How about other lakes, seems with the warmer water they should be turning on pretty well.

The DOW reports "very good for cats 10-14 lbs." at UNION. I went there last night and didn't do very well. Friends caught some very small channels and my brother in law hooked into 2 wipers.

Dan, have you caught big ones from CHATFIELD in the past?

I have hooked a 10 pound + fish that I failed to land 2 years ago. Most that I have caught are in the 1-2 pound range.
Though I have caught less than 20 in the last 3 or 4 years.

I know of a couple ponds just off the Arkansas river that has cats over 20 pounds. Does anyone fish the ponds in Pueblo County just below the industrial park?
