EyeGuy-I use fish that big for bait!! ;D No seriously, very nice fish-you seem to be about as possessed as I am with the smallies and spots. Whatever your doing, don't change a thing. If the walleye had a post office, your picture would be on the wall. ::) Ed

Eyeguy did you bag it day or night fishing?

Yes, it is this year, and yes it is early...dayfishing...depper than you'd think, and in a mess of tangles...didn't know if I'd hooked a piglet, or a tree! (There's a BIG hint in that remark, if you know the lake!)

Humm, so the water is high this year and the walleye are up in the trees (flooded shoreline) chasing leaches. I just might have to go next weekend. No, tangled trees, oh, (the map is in the boat), but that big flat bay mid lake-north shore....

I watch the leaves on the trees to know when the good walleye bite is happening. When the leaves come out, so do the walleye.

Caught the fishy during the overcast part of the late morning...though!
