It is a nice shelter. I've found that about 98% of the time, you really don't need a hut if dressed appropriately. The windbreak would be nice since you're going to transport your gear on and off the ice anyway..Downside..you wouldn't be able to sight fish for pike.

I agree with Hobie for the most part my shelter is just a sled. 8/10 times I'm fishing outside drilling and constantly moving. It is nice though when the wind kicks up or really cold to flip the hut and fire up the heater.
