Last weekend I hit up some new high lakes, and lucked into this tiger on a bouyant. About 17.5"

This weekend myself and MattyT went chasing wipers. It's been 8-10 years since either of us had caught one, so I was pretty stoked to hook into this 7.5 pounder. It made the nearly 800 mile round trip worth it! Also landed a smaller one around 22", and a couple little 17"ers. Matt also hooked into a couple nice fish, but had some technical difficulties. He did end up with one around 17-18" though. Thank you Aofisher for the tips!

I've also been hitting a bunch of high lakes over the past month or so. Some have been dead, but the brookie lakes have been fishing well. The cutty lakes have been very tough though, they seem to be more interested in getting their rocks off than eating right now...

technical difficulties to say the least. had one break me off right at the shore and multiple fish straighten our hooks.
those fish have some serious power its unreal. but yes thanks AO for the advice.
it was hotter than **** out there. I was looking in the trash at one of the cleaning stations and there was probably the biggest walleye I have ever seen in there and was whole. No fillets cut off of it or anything. It had to be well over ten pounds. wonder why they didnt take it???

Ohyeah aren't you in Alaska or something like that? Hows that going?
I finished training for my job on the 19th, and have been stuck here in Seattle waiting to deploy any day. If I would have known this was going to happen I would have invested in some fishing gear and explored the last week and a half. As it is now, I have no vehicle, no fishing gear, and no internet or TV at my apartment, I just use wifi at nearby businesses. Browsing on the site the last few days has revealed nice wipers and pike, beautiful mountain trout, and bass choking on frogs.....I'm starting to feel left out for the summer season :( haha

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed the pics!

Great picts, glad to see you've been getting after it! Bummer about the walleye really makes you wonder ::)
It was close to 30" and real thick, looked like they started to filet it then tossed it? Thought about trying to salvage the meat, but didn't know how long it had been there.

Awesome pics! Haven't wet a line in over a month now and I'm starting to become mentally unbalanced. I think visiting this site has only made it worse....
I can't go more than a week without fishing, that's rough!

800 miles? Dang!!!! Lol nice
Not many wiper near my neck of the woods! The 'ol 85 Toyota handled it perfectly, even with 280k!
