Thats cool and all but what happens when the chucks loosen and your auger goes to the great depths of the lake?

put a float on the auger. Or make sure your ninja moves are up to date LOL

The augers that are designed fot it either have a 7" plate or two rods that stick out. As far as attaching the normal hand auger to the drill thats gonna be a tricky one.

You could use a drill press on the shaft of the auger and use some small 'allthread' if you really concerned.
