Here is all the information I have on the fishing tournament:
The newest division in an ice-fishing contest scheduled Feb. 26 at Blue Mesa is yellow perch - not the biggest but the most pounds total. The contest, sponsored by Western State College's hockey club, also will offer cash and other prizes for the largest mackinaw, largest trout and heaviest limit of four trout.
Registration for the 6:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. contest will start at 5:30 a.m. at the Elk Creek Marina. Cost is $25 per angler.

Is anyone thinking about going up there? I was thinking about going to twinlakes to do some ice fishing this weekend but if I can talk my buddy into Blue Mesa instead it might be fun to enter into the tournament. I dont know though 5:30 means an aweful early wake up call to get there from the springs.
It would be worth it if there are some board members there to meet up with.
Man I feel stupid I dont get off work until 700 am on Saturdays, so it looks like Twin Lakes it is. Maybe next time.
