Impeller Replacement

[flash=200,200]I?m considering changing the impeller on my 90 hp Mercury outboard myself. It is not giving me any trouble, but it?s 3 years old and the owners manual says it needs to be replaced. I have been reading about the procedure in my shop manual and it doesn?t seem to be too hard but I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the subject.

I change mine out every other year at the most. A lot of Merc owners change there's after every season. Now that I'm running a large engine I'll do it every year. It's such an easy change, that you can do yourself,there's no reason not to do it.
