Just bought an elec motor online (minn kota 30lb thrust) for my pontoon and saw a battery holder (trolling motor power center for $58). I can see the advantage of a battery status, what are the circuit breakers for? Thanks

Circuit breakers protect your trolling motor so you don't have to buy a new one. You can use a fuse but then you have to carry extras. A curcuit breaker can be reset when the fault (usually a loose wire) is corrected.

Can you post a link for the battery holder so we can check it out?

I don't know how to post a link, but the price is $58 and it is called a Minn Kota trolling motor power center. It shows up on the addition pop ups when I look up trolling motors, I don't know if that helps.

If you need a battery box that's a clean looking setup. You can buy a circuit breaker for $15 or so on E-bay.
