We were there yesterday and did okay. Not like we did a month ago but still iced 12-14 stocker rainbows. They all went back in and are ready to be caught again. Chartreuse Genz Worm with half a meallie. Also tried pink jigs with waxies but little luck on those. We walked toward the inlet and fished a small point (rock outcropping may better describe it.)
We saw people on other parts of the lake catching fish too.
Don, My middle son and I were there a few weeks past and the fishing was good for 10-12" rainbows. we were fishing by the northeast boat ramp, straight out from the dock about 25 yards, in about 10' of water. Couldn't keep the fish off the jigs(small tube jigs and ratsos, tipped with wax and mealworms). Kind of got dull catching the same size fish, so we started jigging small rapalas, caught a number this way and was more challenging.
Kids will have a great time.
hay don in denver. My fishin buddy BIG JIM & I fished it
last monday & had a great day on the ice ! we fished over
by where the big rocks start to the right of the boat ramp
fishin in 17 fow with 64th oz. dons ice critters and a waxie.
if you have a vexilar it can really pay off by teasing those
trout until they cant stand it ! the pike are in there again
BIG JIM caught a little hammer handle about 14 in.
i'm glad to see terryall back again & the talk about antero
is even better. good luck & tight lines !
Terryall update: We hit the same place on the lake as last
week, the fishing was alot slower w/ aprox. 25 fish apiece,
it was still a good day of fishing, but after the numbers
from last monday ??? I'ts got to be something w/ the moon, barometer or did I not apeize the fishing gods with
the sacrificing of my hemostats down the hole the last trip?
