I caught this fishing report on jackson lake that I thought might be interesting for you guys dated 3-1-05
The inlet has been producing 14"-18" trout using nightcrawlers and shrimp. No further reports for other species; however, we have received word of the possibility of water being added to the reservoir sometime this week which may or may not spur some wiper action in the inlet depending on water flow. Also walleye should begin to spawn when the water reaches 40° but are impossible to catch until about two weeks after they have spawned. Try fishing the area on the dike in front of the white building which is the deepest point of the lake. Also try the fishing jetty located on the north end of Pelican Campground. Nightcrawlers and cut bait are probably the best bait right now since fish are not as active. Fishing will heat up when the water temperature reaches about 50°.
