Fished today from about 10am to 1pm; not one bite. I didn't even see any fish. I was hoping to get into the Grayling. I talked to about seven other people; same thing not even a bite. The reservoir was still about 75% covered by ice. There was a lot of open water near the inlet, which is where I was fishing. I tried flies and a bubble, spinners, and spoons in a variety of colors. I talked to two guys who came from Chambers lake who said they caught some fish early, but the bite shutoff at about 11am.

I went down the road and fished a pond just past chambers lake also without any luck. Nobody else at that lake was catching anything either, except one group caught some rainbows. That's about it.

Try Joe Wright in late July early August for Grayling. At least that has been my experience in recent years. There have been some previous postings concerning Joe Wright and Grayling. Do a search for a more authoritative point of view.
