Anyone know if the Walleyes or Saugeyes are active yet at this Res? Any help would be appreciated to a newbie.

Last year my Dad and i Fished it late April using lipless cranks,Road Road Runners and Minnows under a bobber. We did alright but caught more white bass than walleyes or saugeyes.

j-martin spillway has two halfs
the north half is sand and mud
the south half toward the river is small rocks and big rocks

the walleyes , crappie stay on the rocks and the cats and wiper tend to be next to the wall and out over the mud looking for food

but dont get me wrong sometimes there are some walleyes that will go try and eat out over the mud when the shad are schooling
