Next thursday is my birthday and my dad is calling me off school to go fishing. I was just wondering if its going to be alright or horrible since they are getting ready to spawn. We will probably go to either Crystal Resevoir(And/Or the Catamounts) or Deweese. I know its a stupid question, just thought Id ask.

It depends on what you are targetting and how the spawn is going... pre-spawn they ramp up body weight and feed pretty well.. Durign spawn tehy dont feed as good but there are always species preying or waiting for the oppurtunity for a free meal.

If they are spawning match the hatch with spawn sacs!Works EVERY time-

Well, we are targeting trout. What do i use and how do I know if they are spawning or not?

if the ones you catch are full of eggs then they are spawning i know thats kinda silly but most of the bows spawn in the spring but as posted some are spawning now also the brookies and lakers will be spawning soon so if you notice egg laden fish being caught then use some spawn sacs if you got em
