I have not really tried to get kokes through the ice. I was at blue mesa last year when a group came through suspended on my vex in 30 feet of water over about 80 along a deep flat. I know some people catch them on spoons though. What is your A lure/bait for kokanee and what is the best spot to fish for them?
Thanks for any help in advance.

i use orange and pinks , usually a pink flurescent jig with a wax worm works great, for spoons i like kastmasters, krocidiles, swedish pimpiles,, dick nites and needle fish, i would set a jig with a wax worm and then a pole with a spoon jigging

At wohlford every year at 1st ice you can get quite a few thru the ice. Me and a buddy had a 40 fish day a couple years back. We always wondered about the shape there in. The post spawn ones are very near death, others are fine and in
good shape.
