I got my first fix of hard water this am.

Hit Kriley about 7:45 this am. Started by tentatively walking on the ice with auger and popping holes. The area that I covered is a consistant 4 inches. the top couple of inches is a combination of frozen snow and ice. The bottom couple clear ice. I cut about 15 holes and moved around a bunch near the damn experimenting. Finally discovered fish 4-5 feet deep hitting on salmon eggs. Best results were on size 10 hooks with just a couple of eggs on it. They hit larger hooks with more eggs bt did not hook up. Caught several beautiful brookies about 8 inches long and a few stocker rainbows around 10.

Noting exception but damn fun. Took a few pics with a disposable camera, need to get it developed.
