First report for a while, first time fishing this year.

Took the family camping to Walesenburg (it has grown!).
Fished Horse Shoe & Martin early AMs this weekend.

Caught SMB, walleye, trout and first catfish on a lure.
Several lures worked including fire tiger jerk, pumpkin tubes, beetle spins, rooster tail spinner.
Huge carp were spawning in the reeds all day & night splashing...
Horseshoe was better but not much shore access.

They had a great presentation regarding the unexplained events near the 37th parallel.
Fun time, would definitely go back.

When i was a wee lad i saw something shaking the reeds in the shallows once while fishing. I was to scared to take a gander and ran back to my pappy. Pappy came to look with me and told me that the carp were spawning and to look really close and i can prob seem them. Yeaah well i went to see and out jumps a big ol fat tailed brown monster (beaver). I instantly pee'd and hauled ballocks down the bike path. Dont think i stopped running even after pappy picked me up. I was pale white for an hour with eyes the size of pancakes. Everytime i hear/ see that now i relapse and think of that tragic event. Hahaha.
