I hit Estes from about 3:15 - 4:15 (After work & before a hockey game). I caught two 14inch rainbows off the point. I was using powerbait. I had heard the fishing was pretty good there the past couple of days.

Hit Estes again after work today (March 5th). Again using power-bait. I tried salmon eggs also, but they weren't having it. We were meeting 2 of our buddies, but they decided to get a head start. They both did really well (5+ fish each). I got four, all pretty nice sized rainbows, (12-15 inches). We got most of them between 4:30-6:00. I told the 3 guys I was fishing w/ about this site, and they're going to register.

I fish this lake every month of the year. There is a little ice by the damb, but we're not allowed to fish near it anyway. When I fished it last there was also some ice at fisherman's nook (golf coarse parking lot), but not much. New years eve I got 7 (including a nice brown), after work, and before dark (about 4:30 then). It's a lot nicer of a lake than most people think. I catch a brown for about every 12 rainbows, and last spring I caught a 21'' rainbow. I know a guy that has a 28.5" mounted that he got out of there. Funny thing is he caught it w/ a nightcrawler but mounted it w/ a fly in it's mouth.
