Looking for some sort of info/report on fishing lake estes. I dont have a boat so I will be from shore. Would like to get some good trout fishing in as all I have got so far this year has been some small bass. Also if anyone has reports from anywhere near Estes, loveland etc that would be great!!

It's been a while since I fished Estes, but we always did pretty well right up close to the inlet (west side of lake) with Panther Martins and such. We always did best when the water was coming through there fast and furious just working the shoreline, just chucking out and letting the current take the lure a little bit, then a slow retrieve against the current. Estes also has tiger muskies if you get the urge to go after a monster.

Hope this helps.

Estes was just stocked (I think Wed). Getting ready for the June 4th Tournament. My buddy fishes it every day. He caught about 30 in the past couple of days using salmon eggs. He fishes from the parking lot along Highway 34. You should do well.
