This Lake Granby fishing report is brought to you by "Fishing with Bernie". Kokanee should be showing up along the shorelines, tube jigs tipped with wax worms or "Gulp" corn will entice strikes.. The Frazier river thru Winter Park and Frazier has been fishing great with streamers early and late in the day. Brown trout have began spawning. Please be careful walking in the streams. Lake trout are starting their spawning ritual smaller fish can be caught with small jigs tipped with sucker meat. Shore walkers are catching fish on large spoons or spinners fished deep. While fishing deep, when you get that fish on. Do not "surf"him to the surface, let it fight while it is still deep so it can "burp". That helps the fish swim down to the depths after the release. Please be careful and release any larger fish, these fish can be over 40 years old and could use our protection. Bernie Keefe has been a fishing guide in the Granby area for over 20 years.
