How much longer will it be till Lake Loveland will be safe to ice fish on? I am getting the itch to try ice fishing.

Was out at Boyd today was gorgeous. The Boy caught two really nice fish one 16" and the other 18". Dad got skunked lol go figure. Loveland should be soon hope for cold nights maybe a week.

Scorpion --- people were ice fishing @ St. Vrain today. Let me know when you go, I'm buying some gear a week after Christmas.

They were having an ice fishing demo @ BPS today. It didn't look like you needed much gear. They had a swimming pool w/ a bunch of HUGE Trout in it, some over 20 inches. I'm not sure how I felt about it though, those fish didn't have a chance. They were charging $2, for a certain amount of time. If you caught one, they cleaned it and bagged it up for you.

How thick was the ice at Boyd?. I can't wait to get on the ice, but I like to make sure it's safe 1st.
The seminars at Basspro were very good on Saturday.

Lake Loveland was good on Sunday...3-4 inches of hard and clear.  Go get some them eyes and perch!!!    ;D

Ice at Boyd was 3" - 4" and solid. Thinking of hitting it again this weekend.

Was there yesterday (not fishing) and there were quite a few holes by the boat ramp, and folks fishing north of the sailboat ramp.

king, I have to help my brother with a few things, so I can't go to 11-mile but I am going to try Loveland tommorrow (Sat) for perch. Mainly around the swim beach. I'll try and post a report when I get back home.
