4 of us went to Lake Mac yesterday. Cats were biting very well. We caught our 40 cats in about 3 1/2 hours. We then tried speed troling for the white bass. We did get 6 whit bass and 1 nice walleye. Over all we had a lot of fun. The weather was great, there was very little wind!! Best weather day I had at Lake Mac this year.

We were fishing the west end of the lake. We launched our boat at Lakeview. We took the boat west till we bottomed out, in less than 2 feet of water. There were a lot of fish in the shallows and we could see the waves from them when we spooked them. I thnk most of them were cats as this is where we caught all of our catfish in less than 2 ft of water. It was a lot of fun. We got started fishing for cats around 8:30am and we had our 40 fish by 11:30 am. So the bite was pretty good.

We caught the white bass and the 1 walleye trolling around the trees near Lakeview.
