I was just joking about to 2lb line. It was actually 17lb test. Yes i was targeting wipers. I was on the dam and there was a school of shad close to shore. I took my net and caught some shad, cut one in half and throw it out on the bottom. It was one hell of a fight.

Thanks guys. I got it mounted. Its actually in my pops store, i work there. If you guys are ever in the area come in and check it out. Its a lil mom and pops store on the corner or 30th and peoria. The name of the store is N-Mart.

1 eyered thats not a wiper its a striper, and it was 30lbs on the dot. I weighted it 20 mins after i caught it. Inside of the store you see in the back ground.

No i dont have any recent info. I usually go to big mac at the end of may and all through june. Its excellent for wipers. Last year me and two other guys caught over 100 easily within 5 hours. Theres only one thing for you guys that like to bring home fish, that limit over there is only one fish over 18inches and 15 fish under 18inches lol its kind of backwords. Out of all those fish we got to keep 39 not counting about 15 huge cats. 1eyered lets go there this summeer ill show so some honey holes there.

Thanks. Man i just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Before that i had never caught a fish 10lbs or over, to this day i still haven't not counting that fish and a few monster carp. Had plenty of 5 to 7 lbs wipers cant get over the 10lb mark.

Ok HookNLine, sounds like it's time for an update on the Mac since your our resident expert! I may have to hit the dam on my drive up to Canada for my yearly Pike/Smallmouth foray. I'll stop by the store to check out that Striper mount too! Any bait shops carry alewifes(keywhy) since I'll only be there for a few hours?

Actually im not a resident. I live in aurora, i fish there alot though. My fish mount is in my convient store on 30th and peoria. The name of the store is nmart. I was headed out there saterday but the storm keep me away. If u cant get any bait fish just bring some live crawfish rip of the tail pell of the shell and just use the chunk of meat works good. If your shore fishing by the dam you dont have to cast very far youll be surprised how close in they bite, good luck man. Also check fisher32 post from last weekend he got himself some throphys 2.
