Spent the weekend in Central Missouri chasing sac-a-lait. Fished small coves off the main lake channel at Turkey Bend between mile markers 23 and 25.

Fish were in 18-25 FOW, with the most action suspended in the 15-23' range. It was tough on Saturday, the bite was consistent but really soft/lite (missed several fish). Sunday was a change in weather (20 degrees warmer with rain) and a much better bite, they would hit it good, especially on the drop.

I hucked, chucked, tossed, flipped and jigged both metal and tube jigs. Missed several fish. Best action was on gold or nickel/orange Swedish pimples tipped with minnows.

Water clarity wasn't bad, and temp was somewhere between Cold and 33.

The flasher worked great for marking fish, but not as well as ice fishing for seeing strikes.

Slowest winter trip that I've had in years, but great time spent with my wife and kids.
