Guys, I did some late winter fly-fly fishing on a well-known and very popular tailwater in SW Colorado this past mid-March. I wasn’t expecting much as I only had a few hours as I was on my way to Gunnison that day. It turned out to be a very surprising and fun afternoon. Here a few images and a link to a short video of me bumbling around the river with some surprising fish on (my first time catching this particular species) and providing a few tips and observations…Lol

Nice video and good looking fish, the one above is a Snake River cutty imo.
Thanks....You are correct. I suspected it was a Cutt but did not know what species it was till later. That was my first time seeing one...

Pretty fish and yes that is a Snake river cutt. CPW stocked the heck out of that tailwater this past winter. They figured it was time as the fish were being named. Lucky you as you had a day with few people. Don't even bother come summer and especially the weekends. lol
