Some of my dawgs tell me there is one in Lafeyette with minnows, but I haven't been there yet. I'll get back to you when I find out.

Eh Mark, how's your "stalkin" been lately?
Very shortly now, a new Gander Mountain store in Thornton should offer live minnows:

I think it is due to open next month...
Brett at Discount Tackle usually has minnows and suckers. 62nd (or so) and old Wadsworth (west of Wadsworth Blvd) in the little shoppet.
We get ours @ Bennets up here in the North. It's located in Berthoud.
Bill's Live Bait at 60th (or so) and Washington is the closest to me and I live in Westminster. Good bait as well.
thanks for all your help guys....i'll check them out.

yeah Lallee, wipers have been slow so far this year....I think because all the lakes are much fuller than last year but I ain't givin' up....how's your fishing?
The president of the colorado chapter of muskiesinc owns absolute angler it's located in Arvada, on 64th and Wadsworth, the west side of wadsworth. If you are heading south on Wadsworth you can just drive onto a ramp to get to it, if you're heading N tho, you have to go W on 64th and take the next right to go the back way. OH and the number is: 303-421-4025
He carries suckers and minnows and he's increasing the amt he carries since he just sold 600 dozen in JUST last week alone. His friends like Dan Narsete and other officers of muskiesinc hang out there too. They are soooo awesome, super friendly and helpful, especially since we're minorities, most bait shops I've been too have been jerks, usually they assume a female doesn't know anything and isn't going to be a big spender, that or b/c they don't see too many minorities... I dunno why ft collins peeps act like that??? He also gave my bf and I free fly casting lessons. This has become THE fishing store for me as far as I'm concerned, the customer service is super stellar!!! Sorry for babbling I LOVE this store!

Hey dawg.... Things will be a bit different this year. For early season wipers, last couple of years we relied on current from the inlet for Union, Jackson and Sterling. This year, them lakes are full already and kind of hard to figure out.

The lakes being full aint a bad thing, but I guess we weren't prepared with a plan on how to fish these wiper lakes when they're so full. Hehe.. Too used to the drought. Now it's back to tactics used in the mid 90's. If we even remember what those strategies were....
Oh yeah, Mark.. I didn't even answer your question with that last reply so here goes.. Bass and panfish so far are my highlights. Seen walleye.. Didn't catch. Stocked trout was like the dove season opener of fishing: "good practice and fast action".

As far as wipers go. Tried Union yesterday with the usual baits and lures from my little boat. Not a damn thing. Caught a few fat trout though.
1Eye,

Did you try anything like white jigs/ chartreuse jigs etc?
Yes I did...

No cigar.
That's true man....No running water=No wiper run...
